How to add an email signature to Apple Mail on iPhone (iOS Mail)
Apple's built-in Mail app on iPhone only offers a plain-text Signature field, so getting a designed Sigmint signature onto it takes a small workaround. The reliable method is to email the signature to yourself and copy it into place on the device.
Create your signature first →- 1
On your computer, open Sigmint and click Copy signature, then paste it into a new email and send it to your own address so it arrives with formatting intact.
- 2
On your iPhone, open the Mail app and open that email.
- 3
Press and hold inside the signature, tap Select All, then tap Copy.
- 4
Go to Settings > Apps > Mail (on older iOS, Settings > Mail) and tap Signature.
- 5
Delete any existing text, then touch and hold the field and tap Paste.
- 6
If the formatting disappears after pasting, immediately shake your iPhone and tap Undo — this restores the rich, formatted version.
- 7
Tap back to save the signature.
💡 iOS Mail's Signature field is officially plain-text, so the email-it-to-yourself and shake-to-undo trick is the only way to keep formatting and images — and even then, hosted images or multi-column layouts may not render reliably on every device. If dependability matters more than design, use a simpler text signature on mobile.
