How to add an email signature to Gmail (mobile app)
The Gmail mobile app's own signature setting is plain text only, so a full HTML signature can't be pasted into the app itself. The reliable route is to set your Sigmint signature in Gmail's web settings, which you can reach from your phone's browser in Desktop mode, so every message you send from the web carries it.
Create your signature first →- 1
In Sigmint, click Copy signature.
- 2
On your phone, open Gmail in a browser (Chrome or Safari) and turn on Desktop site (Chrome: the three-dot menu; Safari: the aA menu > Request Desktop Website), or use a computer.
- 3
Go to Settings (gear) > See all settings > General tab.
- 4
In the Signature section, tap Create new, name it, then paste into the box (long-press > Paste, or Ctrl/Cmd+V on a computer).
- 5
Set 'Signature defaults' for new emails and replies to this signature, then scroll down and tap Save Changes.
- 6
Optionally, in the Gmail app tap the menu (hamburger icon) > Settings > your account > Mobile Signature to add a short plain-text sign-off for mail sent from the phone.
💡 Gmail does not sync the rich web signature into the mobile app; the app only appends the plain-text Mobile Signature. To send a full HTML signature from your phone, compose in Gmail via a mobile browser in Desktop mode rather than the app.
