How to add an email signature to Thunderbird

Thunderbird stores signatures per account in Account Settings and can render full HTML once you enable its HTML option. That keeps your Sigmint signature's fonts, colors, and logo instead of collapsing everything to plain text.

  1. 1

In Sigmint, click Copy signature to copy your signature.

  2. 2

In Thunderbird, open the menu (the hamburger icon) and choose Account Settings, or right-click your account in the folder pane and choose Settings.

  3. 3

In the left-hand list, click the top-level entry for your email account (its address).

  4. 4

On the right, tick the 'Use HTML (e.g., <b>bold</b>)' checkbox just beneath the Signature text box.

  5. 5

Click inside the Signature text box and paste with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac).

  6. 6

Close Account Settings (Thunderbird saves automatically), then click Write to confirm the signature appears.

💡 If the box shows raw tags or the layout breaks, instead tick 'Attach the signature from a file instead (text, HTML, or image)', save the Sigmint signature's HTML as an .html file, and select it. The file method is the most reliable way to render tables and logos in Thunderbird.
